Windflower Hill 

Held at Deokhongjeon Hall in Deoksugung Palace, Windflower Hill presents a poetic reinterpretation of traditional Korean ceremonial attire by five hanbok designers.

Focusing on key milestones in early life—birth, the 100th day, the first birthday, and childhood—the exhibition delicately expresses the cultural beauty and symbolism of hanbok.

Curated by designer Sangyoon Kim, the exhibition reflects his heartfelt wish for a pure soul to grow freely and joyfully within the embrace of the world.

“Windflower” evokes the pale mist blooming over distant mountains before a great wind arises, while “Hill” symbolizes a warm, guiding presence.

This exhibition invites visitors into a serene space where traditional garments and their meanings unfold like verses of a quiet poem blessing the beginning of life.

바람꽃 언덕 

덕수궁 덕홍전에서 열린 이번 전시는 한복 디자이너 5인이 참여하여 출생, 백일, 돌, 유년기를 중심으로 한국 전통의 일생의례복을 따뜻한 시선으로 재해석한 작품들을 선보입니다.

전시 감독 김상윤 디자이너는 순수한 영혼이 세상의 품 안에서 자유롭게 뛰놀며 자라나길 바라는 마음을 담아, ‘바람꽃 언덕’이라는 주제로 공간을 연출했습니다.

‘바람꽃’은 큰 바람이 일기 전 먼 산에 피어나는 뽀얀 기운을 뜻하고, ‘언덕’은 따뜻하게 보살피고 이끄는 존재를 상징합니다.

이번 전시는 전통복식에 담긴 깊은 의미를 섬세하게 풀어낸 한 편의 시처럼, 삶의 시작을 축복하는 따스한 공간으로 관람객을 초대합니다.
