저희 유럽 문화센터는 2016 베니스 건축비엔날레 기간 동안, 베니스에서 가장 품위 있는 궁전으로 손꼽히는 팔라조 미셸에서 열리는 ‘ 베니스 디자인 2016 ’ 전시를 소개합니다.

베니스 디자인 2016은 베니스 건축비엔날레 기간 동안 최초로 기획되어진 디자인 전시로서 현재의 발전된 디자인을 한자리에 보여주는 국제전입니다.

이미 세계적으로 많이 알려진 디자이너부터 신진 및 중견 디자이너에 이르기까지 다양한 문화적 배경을 가진 국제적인 디자이너들이 자리를 함께하였습니다.

이번 전시를 통해 저희는 디자인이 단순히 기능적인 아름다운 오브제를 만드는 것, 그 이상의 하나의 커다란 캔버스임을 보여주고자 합니다.

본 전시는 인간의 존재성을 표현하는 감정, 원인 및 행동들을 표현하는 디자인이 가진 위대한 영향력에 대한 관심을 보다 넓히는데 도움을 줄 것입니다.

또한 공간 이용에 관한 예상치 못했던 새로운 대안과, 주변의 일상을 향해 펼쳐진 새로운 의식의 관계를 창조하는 과정을 관람자들이 현명하게 볼 수 있는 기회가 될것 입니다.

본 전시를 위해 초청된 전 세계 17개국 디자이너들은 천 년 전에 이용했던 전통적인 기술부터 오늘 날 가장 혁신적인 테크놀로지를 사용하는 방법에 이르기까지 그들만의 이야기와 아이디어를 표현합니다.

그들의 작업은 일상의 작은 부분이 얼마나 힘이 있는지 그 가능성을 표현하며, 문화의 특수성과 의식을 대표하는 인간의 감정들을 구현하게 될 것입니다.

During the same period of the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016, the European Cultural Centre presents its exhibition "VENICE DESIGN 2016" in one of its prestigious Palazzi in Venice, Palazzo Michiel.

VENICE DESIGN 2016 is one of the first exhibitions to show current design developments during the Venice Architecture Biennale. It brings together international set of designers of diverse cultural background, young, senior, established and emerging. The exhibition aims to demonstrate that design might have a bigger canvas than just creating beautiful functional objects. It is a chance for the spectators to see clever, unexpected solutions for the use of space and also to create a more conscious relation towards the daily surrounding and help to enlarge the awareness for the extraordinary impact design has on the way humans feel, reason and behave - in short, on their existence. Participants from 17 countries come to present their ideas and stories: from the use of traditional 1000-year old techniques in modern days to the most innovative technological solutions available. Their work shows how powerful an everyday piece can be and its ability to express and represent rituals, cultural particularities and embody human emotions.
